What is a virtual phone number?
Neighborhood groups that subscribe to the EX Service are given a virtual phone number. A virtual phone number is a telephone number that can either forward to an existing landline or mobile phone or allow callers to leave a voicemail message. Voicemail messages are emailed to a contact that you specify. This number can be shared within a neighborhood group or with external organizations so that the same number always reaches the correct contact person (even when the leadership or organization of your group changes). i-Neighbors can provision local numbers for your group for almost any local area in the United States or Canada. Group members with privileges granted by a local administrator can change the forwarding number for a virtual phone within the EX section of the site by visiting the link for "phone & fax".
The Virtual Phone cal also make outgoing calls within the United States and Canada through your computer by visiting the link for "phone & fax".
