Over 40 years later, Cooper Estates is now 100% developed with over 300 homes in the subdivision. In 1997 homes sold from $300,000 to over one million for homes located on Shem Creek.
Cooper Estates is made up of a very diverse group ranging with from young, professional singles and couples with young children to retired residents who have lived in Cooper Estates for over 40 years.
Cooper Estates is located between US Highway 17 and beautiful Shem Creek. One of the best secrets of Mount Pleasant is the private boat landing, "Madere's Landing" that is located right on Shem Creek. Residents can pay $100 in annual dues to become a member of Cooper Estates Civic Club and have full access and use of the boat ramp, pier & dock, covered shelter and the other benefits of membership.
